2020s Sire Larry Carlton H7 Semihollow Electric Guitar

For a new 335-style guitar, there are so many interesting choices in this model. Its nut width and general neck feel are very much like a mid-late '60s Gibson -- narrow at the nut, curvy, and quick. The specs on the site list it as having a 12" radius board but when I did measurements I found it to be closer to the 10" side -- just like a vintage Gibson.

Its pickups are also cleaner and brighter in tone and have good chime for humbuckers (despite the flatwound strings currently on it) which further cement its retro-sounding vibe in my ears. Keep in mind the flatwound strings (the EAD) mean that in the video, it has an "old string" sound to the bass side. Regular roundwounds would have a lot more sparkle and snap.

The rest is more as you'd expect -- ply-figured maple for the body woods, a mahogany centerblock in the body and a mahogany neck, and dressy trim.

Repairs included: a good setup.
