2003 Martin D-18 Golden Era Dreadnought Guitar
This is a customer's instrument and was just in for a level/dress of the frets and a new, bone saddle. Martin had glued the original saddle in (despite it being a faux-through-slot -- it has a "drop-in" bottom) and that was a slightly-annoying part of the job -- if it hadn't been glued he probably could have just shimmed the original saddle up and been done with it!
Suffice to say, now that it's adjusted and humming nicely, this guitar is the beast you might expect it to be -- full, punchy, loud, and clean. It's got '30s-era specs -- scalloped bracing, ebony board and bridge, and smart, crisp looks. For bluegrass, country backup, and folksy styles, it's pretty ideal.
