1924 John Friedrich & Brother 3/4 Violin

John Friedrich & Brother were an importer and retailer in the US, though it's been suggested they made their own instruments as well. This one is clearly a nicer-grade instrument and built in Markneukirchen in Germany. It shares the same label style as other instruments for sale from fancy violin shops listed in the $3000s-and-up range.

Andy has done a good job getting it back in order -- fitting a bridge, setting the soundpost, and addressing any loose seams and whatnot. It's ready to play and enjoy and has a good, rich sound.

Repairs included: setup, minor board plane, bridge fitting, minor work to seams, etc...

Condition notes: it's in very good shape but does show average usewear/handling-wear throughout. There's "antiquing" to the finish under said wear that was probably done when it was made. Many period violins have such looks "baked-in."

It comes with: a good hard case and bow.
