1940s Magnatone Varsity Tube Amp

This beautiful little amp has, unfortunately, sold. It's a late '40s Magnatone Varsity amp (but with no branding) that would have been sold with a matching-finish lap steel at the time it was made. It has almost no "clean" headroom and was meant for low-volume playing, anyhow, but of course its best characteristic is that it has no real headroom. It breaks-up deliciously almost immediately and sounds beautifully rock-and-roll at low volume.

It had been gone-through by someone in recent memory and so it was serviced and running as it should. All I did was repair the damaged handle ends and snap some photos. Despite the 3-prong cord, it's still a 2-prong amp in reality.
