1953 Fender 5B5 Pro-Amp 18w 1x15" Wide Panel Tube Amp

The tube chart notes that this is a model 5B5 with serial number 5478. It was (and has been) serviced by Dan Lurie (of FYD Amps) up in Burlington, VT and is ready to go and sounds alarmingly-good. We had a group of gearheads in one Saturday and as soon as the first few notes erupted from this amp, the whole room gathered around it to listen as if it were some sort of mystical ceremony. I remarked to Ancel while we were listening while back in the workshop, "that's the sound of a lot of classic records, right there!"

This amp is clearly a player's grade piece of kit -- the fabric/tweed covering is completely gone, leaving the pine cabinet exposed. The handle is swapped, the tubes are all newer, a fan has been installed so you can crank it for long periods of time without it burning up, a new speaker (well, '70s Jensen) has been fit, and it's had a cap job and 3-prong fit in recent memory. Said cap job was done well -- it's all Sprague and Orange Drops in there. The back panel is also a replacement, too.

It comes with a nice cover, some older tubes, an old Fender speaker jack/cable, and some repair notes, too.
