1960s Lignatone (Czech-Made) 000-Size 12-String Guitar

This odd, '60s, Czechoslovakian-made guitar is pretty interesting. It's got a 000-size body that makes you feel more like you're playing a 00-size. Its build style reminds me of Italian EKO models and the like but it's definitely its own thing. The materials are nice -- it has pretty mahogany on the back and sides, a multi-piece mahogany/maple neck, and proper ebony is used in the board and bridge. It has a good, chimey, dry, almost Stella-like sound to it. I quickly detuned to open D after doing the demo and can confirm that it sounds really nice as an open-tuned instrument, too.

Jose and I tag-teamed this one. I reset the neck and reglued the bridge while he gave it a level/dress of the frets, made a new bone (fully-compensated) saddle, and set it all up. Post-repairs it's playing quick and easy and has remained stable in service. Keep in mind that this does have a giant neck profile. If you've got a big reach, chord patterns will be just fine for you in standard tuning, but if you have a smaller reach then I would assume this would be better-suited to open-tunings playing where you're not doing complicated chord shapes.

Repairs included: a neck reset, fret level/dress, replacement (same shape) pickguard, new bone saddle, cleaning, setup, etc.

Condition notes: it's fairly clean throughout save a replacement saddle, filled factory bolt-holes on the bridge deck (Jose cleaned them up really well), and a replacement pickguard (tortoise, not black like the original dilapidated one, but a huge improvement). There's weather-check to the finish throughout and various small scuffs, dings, or scratches may be here and there. I don't see any significant finish blems.

It comes with: sorry, no case.
