1965 Gibson B-25 00-Size Guitar

This guitar lacks a serial number because the music store that sold it put their label right over it! From its features (plastic bridge) and finish, it looks like a '64, but judging by the thicker-style pickguard and narrower nut width (as well as the short-lived run of these with the odd original-fit Japanese tuners), I'm pretty sure it's a '65.

That said, it's in good order, we've given it the care it's needed, and it sounds tremendous. Jose did all the work on it and it plays spot-on and sounds woody, warm, and full. It reminds me of a '65 Epiphone-branded B-25 I had for a while (also with the narrow nut) that was very, very similar to this one. I recorded a whole instrumental album ("Cider Donuts") on it because I loved the sound so much.

Sorry for babbling! The bottom line is, if you don't mind the narrower nut width, this is a great guitar.

Repairs included: a fret level/dress, cleaning, and new rosewood compensated saddle.

Condition notes: there's pickwear around the soundhole, light scritchy/scratch throughout the body, and weather-checking in the finish, but overall it's pretty clean and in great shape. We've replaced the adjustable saddle with a drop-in rosewood one with proper compensation and it can be shimmed as needed to adjust action during the seasons. The original bolted plastic bridge is in good shape and, if desired, can be removed and replaced if the next owner desires, no problem, but it's not hurting the sound at all on this one -- just listen to the clip! It's nice. The original adjustable saddle and mounts come with it, of course.

It comes with: a chip case.
