1979 Epiphone Genesis Solidbody Doublecut Electric Guitar

It's a double-cutaway Les Paul! Oh, wait, no, it's an Epiphone Genesis -- made in Japan -- and with a pretty cult following. This late-'70s rawk machine is definitely just that -- aggressive and ready to push an amp. It has the feel and handling of a Paul -- including the weight -- but is, of course, tres cool in its rawk mental space.

It has volume controls for each pickup and a tone control plus a mini-switch that enables coil-splitting (I believe) for just the bridge pickup. This gives you a wider mix of tones to blend-around with. The most-lovely bit (at least for me) about this particular guitar is that the 3-way selector switch plate has been replaced with one that reads "Picard/Kirk" rather than "Rhythm/Treble." Trekkies rejoice...

Condition notes: it's overall pretty clean. There are some small nicks and dings to the edges of the body and general usewear (I'd say mid-level) throughout the finish -- a little swirl from cleaning/polishing, minor scratches, etc.) throughout. The hardware has some tarnish and rust at the pickups and plating scratches on the rest. The pots were scratchy but I cleaned them out.

It comes with: a more-recent Epiphone Genesis reissue hard case.
