1993 Monteleone Baby Grand Carved-Top Archtop Mandolin
Talk about them apples, huh? Monteleone is the name, as you all may know. This is a top-flight instrument in a classy, 2-point form factor, and with oodles of volume, snap, and cut. For an instrument as old as it is, it's also been maintained beautifully -- it's very clean.
This one was just in for a quick setup and it was a joy to have it in the shop. Everything on it is crisp and defined and it feels like a million bucks when you're playing it. Fittings are ebony, the top is carved spruce, and the back is carved flamed maple with flamed maple sides.
