2022 Apitius Club Jazz Carved-Top Archtop Acoustic/Electric Mandolin

Hoo, baby! Is that all I can say about this? I mean, probably! It's tip-top, high-class, curvaceously-gorgeous, cut clean, and cut well. If you're browsing this you may already know that these mandolins are the bee's knees in upper-crust jazz-mandolin society. Or -- maybe not? In any case, this is one of the headliners of that school.

This mandolin has "Club Jazz" on the headstock inlay but it's really appointed somewhere between the Apitius Yorkville model (cream of the crop) and the normal Club Jazz model. It's got the unbound f-holes of the Club Jazz but a fretboard inlay pattern that's even fancier than the Yorkville's standard pattern. It's a neat blend of styles that are very deco and it sounds like a million bucks both unplugged and plugged-in. I'm shocked, to be honest, with how close the magnetic pickup sounds like the acoustic sound of the instrument. It's sort-of uncanny.

Oh, and, the beautiful blonde finish -- revealing all the flamed maple on the back and sides -- doesn't hurt, either!
