1978 Ovation 1113 Classical Guitar

I've had several old Ovation classicals come through the shop and each time I'm quite happy to see them. The bowlback format is a good build style to add some clarity, depth, and projection to a classical-style top. These always have a great "folksinger" vibe about them and the wide Ovation rosette does not look out of place in a "classical" setting.

My friend Erik picked this up recently as a possible-for-him guitar but I've since traded him a rather nice old Scandinavian guitar (he's into Swedish, Norwegian, and Finnish folk songs) so this one is now here and up for grabs. He had done the work on this himself (with a bunch of guidance from yours truly) in the workshop a month or two ago, now, as well, and it's playing spot-on and ready to serve.

Repairs included: a fret level/dress, crack repairs and brace reglues done to the top, new bone saddle, setup work.

Condition notes: it has a number of repaired hairline cracks on the top but is otherwise in good order. There's finish weather-check/cracking on the top as well, but that's normal for these as they age. The actual cracks are all cleated-up and good to go.

It comes with: its original molded hard case.
