2020 Gibson SG Standard '61 Modded Electric Guitar
Tone: It's classic-sounding but with a brighter, cleaner, more crisp sound than normal buckers. It reminds me of very good '60s buckers but with a lower noise floor and a more-even response.
Feel: This has a neck that's both retro in flavor and modern. It's quite slim and C but then moves more to a D cut up the neck and has a flatter (12") board radius compared to true vintage SG necks. The frets are on the larger side and, as a result of all these features, it plays more like a boutiquey newer guitar than an actual old SG.
Interesting features: For starters, the mixmash of active EMG pickups and a Sideways Vibrola is pretty stand-out. Otherwise, it's pretty close to how this guitar would have come from Gibson a few years ago. The owner bought it as a parts-less husk and then added everything back until you see it as it is now.
Repairs included: It got a quick setup -- it's ready to go and playing spot-on.

Condition notes: It's pretty clean (a few small nicks and dings and scratches here and there, but non-obvious) but obviously modified. The bridge, tuners, and tailpiece are non-original but Gibson stuff that would have been on this model in the first place. The pickups, wiring harness, and knobs are not. One of the knobs is marked "tone" while it's actually a volume pot. The guitar came with no knobs and these were the closest match I had in the bins.
It comes with: A good hard Gibson case.
