2020s Recording King RD-328 Dreadnought Guitar
Overview: I see a lot of Recording Kings through the shop for setups and whatnot. This one is very much in the style of a herringbone D-28 and -- surprise, surprise! -- it sounds and plays a lot like one, too. This is a lightly-used guitar and is in good order, pretty dang clean, and ready to go.
Tone: It's punchy, loud, and full with a good amount of saucy mids. The lows are not as ginormous as some D-28s but it sounds fairly close to something like a late '60s D-28.
Feel: It feels more or less like playing an older Martin D but the neck profile is a little faster.
Interesting features: Herringbone trim is nice to have on an import D and the retro-looking tortoise-style pickguard gives it a bit of a different look. The fretboard edges are bound in black, interestingly, and it has a bone saddle and nut.
Repairs included: I gave it a level/dress of the frets and set it up. It's playing spot-on and ready to serve.
