2022 PRS Tonare T40-ETS 000-Size Guitar
Overview: It hasn't been that long since PRS entered the import and acoustic markets. This is one of their acoustic offerings and it's a good, mid-range, easy-to-play, decent-sounding instrument. It's got a pickup onboard with XLR and 1/4" out jacks and, thankfully, does not have a terrible EQ panel on its side. Fit, finish, and build quality are accurate and well-done.
Tone: In the video, the strings are a bit old, but I like the way this guy has a bit of an old-fashioned, woody sound to it. I'm so used to seeing guitars of this style have bright, shimmery, Taylor-style sound so it's nice to hear one that's a little more retro despite being modern in looks.
Feel: The neck is slim and quick and quite modern.
Interesting features: I like the "iced tea" sunburst and, even though the other guys in the workshop are not into it, I really like the weird choice of brown pearloid purfling and detailing on this. Why not be different? It sort-of fits with the '70s-but-modern looks.
Repairs included: It's had a quick setup and is playing nicely.
