1924 Gibson UB-1 Trap Door Banjo-Ukulele

Overview: As a uke player, what more could you want? It's got a bigger head, it's got the trap door, and it's got the cool multicolored decal on the headstock. It's also almost completely original and it's in great health.

Tone: It's bright and chipper but has a "watery" sort of sound that sweetens it a bit. It's got good volume and "pluck."

Feel: The neck is on the narrow side but it's deeper front to back and it plays quick and easy.

Interesting features: The "natural" maple finish is unusual for Gibsons from the time as most are a medium-brown color.  It's got some normal wear and tear, though, that gives it a cool antique patina.

Repairs included: Tim gave it a fret level/dress, cleaning work, and setup work. It's playing bang-on and ready to serve.
