1960s Silvertone 1484 Twin Twelve 60w Tube Amp Head

Ah, the garage rock hero! These old 60w, all-tube, Silvertone heads are where it's at if you want that mids-forward, steely, grungy, ripping the flesh off of bones thing when you've got it pushed and driven. They also do clean nicely, too, though it's not the wide-bottom Fender sound and is much more even low to high. The reverb is nothing to write home about but the trem is quite delicious.

Winfield Holt of Orator Amplification went through this and it's serviced and ready to go. He even added a modern, 3-prong port for a detachable cable which is a thing to be thankful to have. I abhor "amp tails" getting caught on everything in the back of my station wagon...
