1990s Orville Les Paul Custom Solidbody Electric Guitar
Overview: These Japanese-made Orville guitars are the bee's knees to collectors as they're built to a quality spec and act like the real deal. This one is a take on a "Black Beauty" Les Paul Custom and comes equipped with three humbuckers. The wiring scheme is 3x volume and 1x tone with the middle "volume" basically an on/off for the middle pickup and the 3-way switch operating as normal between the neck and bridge pickup when the middle is taken out of the equation.
Tone: It's a Paul! It's got thick mids, good output, and can drive an amp like crazy if you want it to. The tone is mellow but clear and it has a nice kerrang bite to the bridge pickup.
Feel: The guitar is on the heavy side and the neck has a fairly traditional late-'50s LP sort-of shape but with a flatter 14" board radius compared to Gibson's normal 10" at the time.
Interesting features: It's got the extra binding -- it's got the inlay -- it's got the extra pickup -- it's black -- the hardware is gold -- and it's ruggedly-built throughout. Can we complain? Not really!
Repairs included: Jose leveled/dressed the frets and set it all up and it's good to go.

Condition notes: There's mild usewear throughout the finish and body via light scratching and scuffs. It appears to be all original except for the bridge pickup which is a Duncan replacement. It's possible, however, both of the neck pickups are replacements as well as I mostly see covered pickups on these old Orvilles but I see uncovered ones in them now and then that appear stock. In any case, they sound nice!
It comes with: It's actually got a newer hard case.
