2024 Richard Wylie Robson 00-Size Spruce/Rosewood Guitar

My local friend Dick (in Hancock, VT, just up the street) has now been building instruments for a good, long time and each one gets a variety of small changes and refinements over the last generation of builds. He has been on a guitar-building journey for a while and this 00-size, 14-fret instrument is one he built along with his grandson.

It's a lightly-x-braced box and features solid spruce over solid rosewood in the body. There's a ton of nice abalone inlay, tall maple binding, and herringbone trim throughout. The board and bridge are ebony and he had me fit a K&K pickup in it so I'm hoping said grandson gets to gig with it! I know he's in a band...

So -- congrats, Dick, on another victory! This one's a sweetheart both in looks and sound.
