2000s Unmarked Oud (Modded)
This is a local player's oud that was in for crack repairs and adjustments. At the same time, I modified its string from "tie bridge" to a tailpiece-plus-tied-bridge setup. I've seen this on some ouds (Iraqi? Syrian?) and considering the lightweight build and compromised bridge on this guy, it seemed like a fitting choice and the instrument itself feels more stable and sounds better this way, too.
The build quality on this is on the folksy side rather than professional and it's extremely lightweight and has a good, full sound.
