2016 Martin HD-28E Retro Acoustic/Electric Dreadnought Guitar
Overview: This Martin HD-28E "Retro" model was intended to be a plug-and-play, excellent-sounding, stage variant of the HD-28 model. It has a complicated and fancy Fishman Aura system pickup (with guitar imaging) installed, retro-style, scalloped x-bracing under the hood, and a tremendous sound. It handles faster than a "proper" vintage-spec D-28 but has "that '30s sound" in spades.
Tone: It's big, full, warm, and has a lot of guts.
Feel: The neck has a slim-medium, softest-V, oval-hint profile. It's quick and the vintage-style 1 3/4" nut and its string spacing will be a welcome addition to folks who want speed but also a more-traditional width in a neck.
Interesting features: As noted, a Fishman Aura pickup system is pre-installed on this instrument and ready to go. It's also got the vintage-style, lightweight bracing which gives it a big, robust sound. It has the customary herringbone to purfling and an ebony board and bridge. The Indian rosewood back and sides are nice and straight-grain and look gorgeous.
Repairs included: I just gave it a restring and quick setup.

Condition notes: It's almost a new guitar with just the slightest usewear evident -- it looks more like a "shopworn" guitar than used. The frets have just the tiniest wear (no need for a level and dress job, which we do fairly standard on most instruments) and there are just the lightest scratches here and there in the body.
It comes with: It has its original hard case.
