1934 Kalamazoo (Gibson) KG-11 00-Size Guitar
Overview: My buddy Paul found this KG-11 a bit down on its luck and another buddy decided he wanted to snag it for himself after the last two of this model fled the building on the quick. Per its features and factory order number, I think this places at '34 and it has the small sunburst and squared headstock of the early versions. This particular guitar has a very full and punchy voice compared to the average KG-11 and it's a heck of a fingerpicker.
Tone: It's woody, warm, loud, and punchy.
Feel: It's got a bigger V-neck shape with a curvier fretboard and generous, 1 3/4" nut width.
Interesting features: It's got the cool small sunburst finish, tigerstripe pickguard, and is (on the whole) pretty clean for its years
Repairs included: This one had some bridge plate and under-bridge damage but it's patched-up nicely thanks to Ancel's work. He also made a new bridge for it and planed the fretboard and refretted it with medium-jumbo wire. It's a heck of a player's guitar, now, and fit to serve.

Condition notes: While it's got plenty of light scratches, scuffs, and whatnot throughout the finish, I'm not seeing any actual cracks. The finish also has a nice "glow" to it that's often lacking on Kalamazoos (on many, the gloss has turned almost satin as they age). The bridge, saddle, and nut are replacements -- as are the pins.
It comes with: It has a junky old chip case fit for storage.
