2019 Beltona Songster Tenor Resonator Ukulele

Overview: I've worked-on a number of Beltona resonator instruments. They're interesting, lightweight, great-sounding creatures and have a build style and look all their own. This one arrived in good shape and playing decently, though it needed minor tweaks to be its best. I like the chipper, focused sound the Beltona ukes have -- very-much similar to a National resonator ukulele but a little-more plainspoken and less ringy.

Tone: It's clear, clean, bright, and loud with a lot of cut and punch.

Feel: The neck is pretty modern in feel with a slim-to-medium, C-profile shape and an almost "Hawaiian-width" nut string spread and width.

Interesting features: The fiberglass body is, of course, pretty fantastic. Its Kay Kraft-inspired shape is lovely, too, and features an integral cutaway.

Repairs included: I gave it a fret level/dress, cone and saddle adjustments, a restring with fluorocarbon high-G strings, and set it up. It plays fast and easy and is ready to roll.
