1980 Masaru Kohno No 20 Classical Guitar

Overview: Masaru Kohno was a modern master of guitarmaking in the classical tradition and worked from Tokyo his entire life, building his first guitar in 1949. His workshop survives and continues to build guitars in his tradition with two more generations of his family. This 1980 Kohno is not as fancy as some of the maker's prestige guitars, but it does have an excellent sound and feel and is built to a high spec.

Tone: It's clean, balanced, and full without being boomy or indistinct. Players who like to hear each of their notes rather than a blend will enjoy this a lot.

Interesting features: It has a shorter, 640mm scale length (vs the ~25 1/2" of 650 or ~26" of 660) that will feel more comfortable and easier on the fingers than your average classical guitar. It also helps give the guitar's sound a little extra warmth.

Repairs included: It's had a setup and level/dress of the frets and is ready to go.
