1972 Gibson Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar
Overview: This old Custom is a bona-fide rawk machine, with '70s aftermarket humbuckers fit, an out-of-phase mini-switch (I think) added near the controls, and enough wear throughout to make it feel like a worn-in mitt. It has classic looks, plenty of charm, and a quick neck and feel.
Interesting features: The slightly-faded cherry sunburst is a nice look. The clearcoat has yellowed as it's aged, too, giving the binding a relaxed look as well. The replacement tuners and pickups are a nod towards its customization-friendly era of build. All of that pearl inlay in the board and headstock sure do look classy, too. It has a '70s Seymour Duncan 59B pickup fit at the neck and a '70s DiMarzio Distortion pickup at the bridge with fully-adjustable poles.
Repairs included: Sarah gave it a level/dress of the frets and a full setup and mild cleaning. It's playing spot-on and ready to serve.
