1980s Palmer Strat-Copy Electric Guitar

Overview: This looks like a mid-'80s Strat-copy of the Korean variety (though it's possible it's a slightly-earlier Japanese one). In any case it's got a good build, stable neck, and after some work plays and sounds like a champ. The pickups are satisfyingly-punchy but still give a classic Strat sound. Its neck is a bit fuller and fatter than a normal Fender-style neck you'd find these days, but it plays nice despite it.

Interesting features: Well, I mean -- it has the "all black" thing going -- black hardware, black pickup covers, black pickguard, black headstock, black nut, you name it! The white backplate, I think, came from our shop randoms bin. We blocked the bridge and bridge block during setup so it's effectively a hardtail guitar. We didn't trust this one to work nicely as-intended.

Repairs included: Sarah gave it a fret level/dress, setup, and restring and it's playing spot-on and ready.

Condition notes: The cheesy tuners leave a little to be desired but work fine. It's got lots of wear and tear all over, too -- there's scratches, scuffs, worn edges, and whatnot. It's a rawk guitar and it was obviously enjoyed a lot over the years.

It comes with: Sorry, no case.
