2023 Epiphone Zephyr DeLuxe Regent Hollowbody Electric Guitar
Overview: I'd worked on this one just a little bit last year -- giving it a glorified setup and adjusting a few things -- and it's back here, now, still playing 100% and ready to go. This is a modern take on an early-'50s Epiphone Zepyhr and it's got all the bling and good looks that that entails along with a fast, easy neck and a good, clean sound ideal for retro playing styles -- especially jazzy licks.
Interesting features: It's got a pair of mini-humbucker pickups that are raised-up in the cool, old-school bevels. The controls are the same as a Les Paul -- individual volume and tone and a 3-way up on the shoulder. It has great "cloud" pearl inlay in the fretboard and the headstock has a traditional floral "vine" inlay. The "radio knobs" are a nice touch, too.
Repairs included: I just needed to give it a glorified setup and move the pickups a little bit more on-center. It's setup with flatwound strings and the bridge compensation dictates a wound G. It's playing spot-on and ready to go.
