1900s Unmarked 1-Piece Back German 4/4 Violin

Overview: Unfortunately, this instrument sold before I could get a video of it. It's unmarked but is very likely a nicer-grade German "shop" instrument from the 1900s or 1910s. It has a number of old repairs and fresh re-repairs and Andy spent a long, murderous time putting it back together. The care paid-off, however as it has an excellent, clean, full sound and handles beautifully.

Interesting features: All the wear and tear looks great to my eyes, but for those who like pretty, it has a gorgeous one-piece maple back. The scroll carving is nice and tight and precise and the top wood is tight-grained spruce. All the fittings are ebony.

Repairs included: It's had many seam and crack repairs, a neck reset, fingerboard plane, new bridge, new soundpost, fine tuners added, cleaning, and setup work -- all done by Andy.
