1960s Yamaha Red Label FG-180 Jumbo Guitar

This is one of those glorious old "red label" Yammies from the late '60s. The FG-180 is always a popular model and this Japanese-made version is the most popular type to find. A customer of ours bought a smaller-bodied Yamaha from the same era we had just fixed-up and he sent this on back over to get fixed-up as well. It's a good, full-sounding guitar and now plays like a champ, too.

Jose did a great job on it -- giving it a neck reset, fret level/dress, new bone saddle, and setup work.

Congratulations on bringing this gem back to life. They are so worth it for those of us who love that vintage sound but don't have the big budget. I have a refretted, neck reset, model that I de-dampend the inside by sanding off the shellac. Then scalloped the braces like a HD Martin and took down those monster lower back braces. Very satisfying.
