1960s Harptone (Standel) E-6N Dreadnought Guitar
Overview: I have a few consignors who sort-of hunt for Standel/Harptone gear. I like the stuff -- it's a bit on the vintage cheese side but it's also very much a contender for respect if you're a fan of the '60s and '70s Guild sound and feel. This weirdo has double truss rods, a Loki-esque headstock shape, big old bridge, '70s Gibson-looking square shoulder dreadnought vibes, and a ply, press-arched back like many Guilds have.
Interesting features: It's x-braced and sounds in the Guild-slash-Gibson vein, with good mids and a woody chunk to the sound that's very endearing. I like it as a country-style strummer but it will fingerpick just fine, too. It originally had an adjustable saddle but they're always placed in the wrong position for good intonation and so it's replaced here with a drop-in, compensated rosewood saddle. These guitars are built on the sturdy side and hold-up to rough use very well, making them great road guitars when fit with the right pickup.
Repairs included: Ancel did all the work -- giving it a neck reset, fret level/dress, fitting a new saddle, regluing the pickguard, regluing the bridge, and setting it all up. It plays like a champ and is ready to go.

It comes with: It's got a nice old hard case.
