1965 Gibson ES-345 Semihollow Electric Guitar

Update: A customer was interested in a few specs so I figured I would add them here as well -- neck pickup reads ~7.4k ohms and bridge ~7.57k ohms. The choke is removed along with the Varitone. It's in-phase in the middle position. Now back to the normal post...

Overview: How about these apples? Who doesn't like a bright-cherry Gibson ES-345? It's got the red, it's got the parallelograms, it's got the pickups, and it's got class. This one has the original pickups but the wiring harness has been swapped for a newer harness of the mono, ES-335 variety and the Varitone pot-hole plugged. The original Varitone circuit and aging pots and wires are stuffed in a bag in the case's pocket. How's it sound? Superb. How's it play? Superb!

Interesting features: The cherry finish is hard to chase, for starters. Aside from the finish, it's also been modified in setup, too -- the original bridge and trapeze tailpiece setup have been swapped for a modern ABR-style bridge and simple stop-style tailpiece. This updates and streamlines the guitar a bit, though it hardly needs help -- it's a looker! The neck also feels quick and easy, with a fast C/D profile

Repairs included: Ancel leveled/dressed the frets and set this up. It's playing bang-on and is ready to go.

The tuners are not original, either.
