1982 Fender '52 Reissue Telecaster Electric Guitar

Overview: This guy is a 1982 Fender USA reissue of a '52 Telecaster. It's got all the stuff going on -- ash body, blonde finish, worn-in looks, and the sound, and it even has a Bill Kirchen (of Commander Cody & Nick Lowe fame) signature on the back.

Interesting features: Someone painted the neck pickup cover black at some point and there's a fair amount of honest wear and tear to the guitar that's just lovely to see -- tarnished and pitted metal hardware and all. True to the originals, the neck pickup is rather dark and mellow and the bridge pickup has that classic, deep twang sound.

Repairs included: Sarah gave it a level/dress of the frets and a restring and setup and it's playing bang-on and ready to go.

Condition notes: It has replacement strap buttons (black strap locks), the neck pickup has been painted black on its cover, and someone monkeyed with the wiring at one point but it looks like it's been rewired as-per-normal since. There's a Bill Kirchen signature in Sharpie on the back and plenty of weather-check to the finish and general handling and use wear (scratches, nicks, dings) throughout. An extra string tree was added, there's another extra hole in the headstock (filled) for yet another string tree, and there's chipout on the headstock around the tuner ferrules so I'm guessing someone stuck some other tuners on there at some point. Under the pickguard, someone roughly-cut the neck pickup cavity so it could fit a bucker sometime in the past. The board shows finish wear and tear, as you'd expect (and want). I am not 100% sure the neck pickup is original as it has different-style leads but the bridge pickup is original. Update: the neck pickup is a Duncan Antiquity with a black cover!

It comes with: I will include a gigbag.
