2021 Gibson Custom Shop SG Special '64 Reissue Electric Guitar
Overview: When a buddy of mine told me he had bought a nice SG I never expected he got a Custom Shop '64 SG Reissue with P90s! How about that? This thing feels, looks, and handles excellently and, as a P90 fan myself, I was pre-sold on the sound. It has a bit of playwear (mostly put-on by the current owner) but it's in excellent health and ready to rip. I'm pretty sure this would have been marketed as a '63 reissue but its bogus serialization at the back of the headstock suggests it's a '64 reissue.
Interesting features: The two P90 soapbar pickups have a classic sound and I have always been partial to the one-piece, compensated Gibson bridges like this one has (though this is compensated for 3-plain, 3-wound modern sets of strings). The finish looks grand and it has just enough light handling-wear to feel cozy. The neck is slim and fast and has the thinner-depth D-ish shape that I'm used to from early '60s SGs. It's quick!
Repairs included: I can't remember exactly who worked on this one, but it got a light level/dress of the frets, a lot of cleaning (it just had surface grunge on it), and setup work and it's playing spot-on and ready to serve.

Condition notes: There are light scratches and scuffs here and there throughout the body but they're not eyesores. There's pickwear on the pickguard. It was obviously loved and played a lot in its short timespan. The original Gibson case has a 2021 inspection tag on it which is what I'm basing the dating off of, as this does not have its original paperwork with it and the Custom Shop serial numbers at the back of the headstock relate to the instruments they're copycatting (ie, '60s Gibson serialization in this case) instead.
It comes with: It has an original hard case.
