2024 Eastman E20 OM 000-Size Guitar
Overview: Eastman instruments are well-known for being a quality make at a good value. This guy is their take on a Martin OM-style instrument from the '30s but, in reality, it's built more along the lines of a fancy take on a 000 as it has a ~25" scale length rather than the 25 3/8" long scale of a proper Martin OM. In any case, it's a carefully-made instrument and sounds and feels on par with some of the recent actual Martin 000 and OM instruments that have been through the shop lately. This one is essentially new as its owner bought it and used it for only a week but then found yet another guitar almost right away and had to make apples or oranges choices.
Interesting features: The sunburst finish is a nice touch, as is the herringbone purfling. The '30s-style ebony board and bridge give it a little more class than the usual-suspect rosewood fare, too. Its build is crisp and clean, it has a nicely-tall saddle with plenty of room for adjustment, and it has a look that pops with good contrast to its elements. The neck is comfortable and familiar to Martin players and it comes with Gotoh tuners as well.
Repairs included: It just needed a quick setup. It's playing spot-on and ready to go.
