1960s Harmony Stella H929TG Tenor Guitar

Overview: While these are tagged as H929 in the soundhole and they share the same body shape and similar bracing, this tenor version of the instrument has a pin bridge (vs. tailpiece/floating setup) that's a lot closer to the soundhole and something about that, plus the shorter scale (and thus less tension on the top) always turns these into delightful-sounding critters when they're fixed-up. They have a woody, warm, springy sound to them that's really endearing. This one is currently tuned/strung-up for CGDA tuning but I've heard them in DGBE and GDAE tunings as well and they sound good for all of them.

Interesting features: The pin bridge is nice to have and we've put a fresh bone saddle in it, too, replacing the original fret saddle setup. It's got stenciled-on "binding" and "inlay" and the funky sunburst is just the right amount of cheese for this guy.

Repairs included: It got a bunch -- a neck reset, replacement (correct) vintage tuners with fresh buttons, a saddle-slot recut and new, compensated bone saddle, side dots install, a level/dress of the frets, and setup work. I may have reglued a few seams, too. Ancel and I tag-teamed it and it's now playing spot-on and fit for service.

Condition notes: There's plenty of light-to-medium usewear throughout -- scratches, nicks, small dings, and whatnot. Much is original but the bridge pins, saddle, and tuners are not (though the tuners are same-period). We also added side dots as-per-normal for our shop. It's currently strung for CGDA tuning but I can recompensate the saddle and restring to whatever tuning is desired.

It comes with: Sorry, no case.
