1967 Gibson B-25 00-Size Guitar
This is a local customer's nice old B-25 that we worked on. I reset the neck, Sarah leveled and dressed the frets, and Ancel made a repro-ish bridge, fit it, and made a new saddle and set it up. It's quite the guitar, now with a robust, woody sound that's surprisingly punchy. The neck joint on this one was, unfortunately, a bit of a travesty and not fit very well, so I did hide a bolt up in the joint at the neckblock post-reset just as insurance.
I know late-'60s Gibsons aren't always the most respected for the brand, but I have actually done a fair amount of recording on various '66 and '67 models because of their sound. A lot of them have tops built a little on the lighter side (but with their larger bridge plates) which gives a weird, warmer, midsy, balanced kind of thing to the sound. This one in particular sounds almost identical (to my ears) to an Epiphone-branded B-25-style guitar that I recorded all of my album Cider Donuts on.
