1990 OMI Dobro D2 Resonator Guitar

Overview: This is just what it looks like -- a typical, OMI-era, Dobro roundneck guitar in a "dark walnut" sort-of finish. It has some average wear and tear here and there but, post-repairs, plays great and has a good, mids-thick, drawl of a voice.

Interesting features: It's bare-bones for this one -- simple finish, simple hardware, simple looks. It's got the usual "square shoulders" Dobro lines, the thinner depth, and distinctive "crown" truss cover.

Repairs included: Sarah gave it a level/dress of the frets and setup and I helped adjust the neck angle and get the cone seated nicely. We did have to add a little fill to the (glued-in, maple) original saddles and then add compensation, though, so they're not the prettiest-looking saddles with the coverplate off. It's playing spot-on and ready to go.

Condition notes: There's average usewear throughout with some finish chip-offs on the back of the neck and a few small nicks and dings here and there. I used a Forstner bit to enlarge the truss rod access route just a bit to allow for easier adjustment with common tools, but that's hidden under the cover. Everything on the instrument appears to be original.

It comes with: It's got a good hard case.
