2014 Gibson J-45 TV Slope Dreadnought Guitar
Overview: This is a nice, modern J-45 with a retro sound and good looks. It's in great shape and built well and has been kept-well by its last two owners. My friend Joel is the current owner and he's only letting it go because he has to downsize a bit in his collection -- needs must!
Interesting features: The "TV" in the model name is for "True Vintage," which describes this J-45's vintage-style appointments. These appointments are, however, a mix of old and new -- it has a '50s-style pickguard and bridge (but with a drop-in saddle for ease-of-use), '40s-style sunburst and looks plus a "Banner" logo at the headstock, and '40s-style bracing under the hood. The neck is faster than older instruments but it has a bit of that mid-late '50s feel and sizing. The modern frets are nice to have, too.
Repairs included: I think it was Jose who gave this a light level/dress of the frets and setup work. It's playing spot-on and ready to go.
