1951 Gibson LG-1 00-Size Guitar

Overview: This guy was initially a repair project but the owner decided to sell after it got fixed. It found a local buyer rather quickly so I didn't even have a chance to get it listed before it sold, but luckily I did have all my photos and videos taken before he left. Suffice to say, it's a great old LG-1 with a woody, warm voice and that "perfect old neck" feel. These record beautifully when stuck in front of a mic and sound fantastic for fingerpickers or light-medium strummers, so long as you're not expecting dreadnought-like bass from them.

Interesting features: The tuners are period replacements, the pins are unoriginal, and the saddle is new, but otherwise it's original. The finish is in great shape and I love how the pickguards have a soft "glow" about them in this period.

Repairs included: I gave it a neck reset, Sarah leveled/dressed the frets, and Ancel reglued the bridge, pickguard, some bracing, made a new saddle, and set it all up.
