2000s Joseph Delorean (Vermont) Fancy Jumbo Guitar
Overview: This is a custom, handmade guitar that was built right in Vermont by one Joseph Delorean -- a fella who I can find no information online about. Suffice to say, it's an inspired and individualistic instrument and has a loud, proud, punchy, and round sound about it. It reminds me a lot of a Gurian-style sound -- even and balanced and responsive -- though the top and back on this guy are more arched, which give it a different sort-of projection that leaps-out a bit more at the audience and makes it hard to "overdrive" the guitar with heavy-handed playing.
Interesting features: The materials are drop-dead gorgeous! It has a single-piece, flamed maple neck and absurdly flamed maple throughout the back and sides. It has wood binding and the top has some nice curl/figure to it in spots. The rosewood bridge has an interesting, fancy cut to it and it has an ebony fretboard. It's a handsome, curious guitar.
Repairs included: Someone repaired both an endpin-area hairline crack in the side and the center seam on the top and they're good to go. Our work was to give the frets a heavy-handed level/dress job and then tweaks to the saddle compensation and setup. It's now playing spot-on and is ready to go.

Condition notes: While it's overall pretty clean, it does have a repaired center seam crack below the bridge on the top and a repaired small hairline crack on the sides near the endpin. There are some string ramps cut in the bridge following the path of the strings. There's a little usewear here and there throughout but the finish also has a bit of a textured feel as it appears to have been rattlecan-sprayed or varnished by hand -- one or the other. The neck had a hair of twist in it when it arrived which we alleviated during the level/dress process with the frets, though that means the frets are of uneven height (they're pretty low right where the board meets the extension).
It comes with: It has a gigbag.
