2021 Alvarez MDR-70 12-Fret Dreadnought Guitar

Overview: These 12-fret Alvarez dreadnoughts are always popular when we have them through. They sound big, full, and warm and the necks are comfy and quick (despite the generous nut width). They've also got a great look about them -- with squarer shoulders than a D-28S and the "downturned mustache" bridge -- which set them apart. This one has a nice-looking sunburst and an added, retro-style pickguard.

Interesting features: The 12-fret joint puts the bridge in the middle of the soundboard and, as you'd expect, that gives a more efficient, bigger sound. Fingerpickers and chord-backup folks will enjoy that extra volume and depth to the bass and the roundness of the sound. It also means the neck is sort-of "brought in" closer to the body so cowboy-chord sessions have less of the "hand way out there" feel. The slotted headstock is a nice touch, too.

Repairs included: This guy just got a setup as I recall (thanks, Sarah, I believe) and it's playing spot-on and ready to serve.
