1965 Fender Duo Sonic II Solidbody Electric Guitar

Overview: This appears to be a legitimate '65 Duo Sonic II that's had a few changes. First, the body has been resprayed in rattlecan-nitro Olympic White. Second, the switches are replacements. Third, the tuners are swapped (but vintage Fender ones are on there). Fourth, the pickup cavity has been enlarged. It's a great player's guitar and, post-repairs, is playing like a champ. It has a nice, chunky, C-shaped neck and the weight is not bad at all.

Repairs included: Sarah gave it a level/dress of the frets and I gave it some setup work and adjustments. It's playing spot-on and ready to go.

Condition notes: As noted, it has replacement: tuners (slightly-later, but period), strap buttons, frets (it's got an older refret), saddles (new compensated ones), and switches (thank goodness as the old ones usually fail by now). The wiring harness looks right. The finish on the body is resprayed. The neck may have a hit of overspray at the headstock area -- I can't tell for sure -- but it's not been refinished or mucked-with much.

It comes with: It actually has an original hard case!
