1969 Silvertone (Harmony) S1210 Rubber-Bridge Electric Bass Conversion

This is a rubber-bridge bass mod that Jose worked-on a few weeks ago. He'd just finished it up when a customer decided to snag it and so I only had time to snap a few pictures with my phone, despite having done a video the night before.

It was an all-birch, Harmony-made, Silvertone 000-size guitar with a tailpiece setup. It's now had a bunch of crack repairs, a stiffening rod connecting both the neckblock and endblock installed (it previously had some neck joint trauma), all of the other repairs done, and then the conversion work done.

The nice thing about these bigger rubber-bridge mod basses is that they have enough acoustic volume to be able to stick a mic in front of them for recording or use for practice on the couch.
