1984 Dobro D60 Squareneck Resonator Guitar

Overview: They don't get much friendlier and road-worn than this guy! It has vibes for miles and miles. The serialization places it at 1984 despite the fact that it looks like an early-'70s model. The rosewood fretboard looks great against the black-with-cream-trim getup. It's a loud, proud, gorgeous-sounding Dobro and one of the best ones from the '70s/'80s era that I've heard outside of custom builds. It responds quick to the touch.

Repairs included: I cleaned it up as much as I could, made sure the cone was seated nicely and securely, and made minor adjustments here and there. It was already playing well when it came in but a magnetic pickup had to be removed before sale.

Condition notes: This guitar is beat-up throughout the finish. It has numerous nicks, dings, and scratches all over. The headstock has a crack repair on one of its wings and it's been solid for the many years the owner has known it. There's wear, of course, to all of the hardware as well. There are filled control holes at the lower-bout-top and one filled jack hole on the treble side. Everything appears original except for the aluminum saddles that the owner installed to replace the maple originals at some point. This is definitely a player's guitar.

It comes with: It has an old hard case.
