1990s Danelectro U2 Semihollow Electric Guitar

Overview: This is the prototypical Danelectro U2 reissue from the late '90s -- Korean-made, with a great sound and feel, and looks which directly copycat the originals. It's even got a peachy coral finish to boot!

Interesting features: It's completely stock save for one (football-shaped) strap button on the shoulder. Nods to the past include the aluminum nut and rosewood saddle. The neck is built more like a Fender neck than the original Danos (this one is rosewood over maple with an adjustable truss rod while the originals were rosewood over poplar with twin non-adjustable rods) and it has several extra neck attachment bolts on the rear to keep the neck nice and rigid in its pocket. As per the originals, the 3-way switch works as "neck-both-bridge" but the "both" position is wired in series which gives the guitar a volume boost/hotter sound in that position. Just like on the originals, this is my preferred place to leave the guitar at all times, though the thinner-sounding "just neck" and "just bridge" positions can be very useful for strummy-style chord-banging.

Repairs included: Sarah gave it a fret level/dress, added compensation at the bridge saddle, and set it up. It's playing spot-on and ready to go.
