1999 Fender FM-61SE Semihollow Electric Mandolin
Overview: I think a fair description would be that this is a "Mandocaster" but deluxe. It has a solid spruce top mated to a semihollow, mahogany (I believe) body. The neck is set rather than bolted and it has the full 8-string mandolin-style neck with the classic, hockey-stick headstock shape. The pickup is not slanted or too close to the bridge so the treble side is less shrill than usual. The downpressure bar at the headstock takes care of all the strings, too. It's a win, and as a plus it's lighter-weight than your typical old Fender emando as well.
Repairs included: I gave it a level/dress of the frets, recut the saddles so they could adjust lower, restrung it with GHS stainless steel strings (these need ball-end, nickel-wound strings at the minimum), and set it all up. It's playing spot-on and ready to go. I'm pretty enamored of this one, too. If it winds-up hanging around for a while I might have to scoop it up for myself...

Condition notes: It has a little pickwear to the top finish near the pickguard. The cling-wrap on the pickguard was still in place when it got here so I took it off! I had to modify the saddles (giving them flat bottoms) to adjust the action down to where it needed to go. There may be other small scuffs/nicks/dings here and there that I am not noticing, but overall it appears pretty clean for its age.
It comes with: It has a gigbag.
