2000s Crafters of Tennessee TN-10 Resonator Guitar

Overview: There are differing accounts as to the quality of these Crafters instruments, but this one is fantastic, I think! It's light, it's loud and punchy as heck, and the neck is comfy and easy to get along with. Notes are clean and crisp up and down the fretboard and it has a National Hot Rod cone installed. What's to argue with? It even came setup almost spot-on as a different shop had worked on it in recent memory. I can't complain!

Interesting features: While it looks a lot like a Dobro-style guitar, this has a National Hot Rod cone under the hood so it sounds more like a very good wood-body National -- bluesy and loud and up-front with a ton of snap. The body is flamed maple throughout and it has a flamed maple neck to boot. The board is ebony, the frets feel nice and modern, and it's been stable since stringing-up/adjustments in the shop (about a month ago). The '30s-style appointments (neat segmented f-holes, Dobro-style coverplate) are nice to have, too, and the sunburst looks great on all that maple.

Repairs included: I just had to give it a quick setup. It's playing spot-on and ready to go. Slide players may fine it a little low on the treble side but I can adjust that if need be. It's setup for fingerpicking/flatpicking at the moment and those with a light touch on slide will have no problem.

Condition notes: It's quite clean with only very little use. I'm sure there may be light swirly-style scratches from handling but I can't find anything obvious. There's one little hairline crack at the treble-side f-hole that has been stabilized in the past.

It comes with: It has a nice hard case.
