2000s Main TBN100 4/4 Violin

Overview: Main violins appear to be retailed through the Main Violin shop in New Jersey. This model is perhaps 10-15 years old and, at the time, was in the $600-700 price bracket. It's beautifully-made and has a good, even tone with nice projection -- and furthermore, it feels nice in the hand, too. It reminds me of similar-grade Eastman instruments, but with perhaps a little more of an exciting finish look and nicer flamed maple in the back and sides than usual.

Interesting features: The top grain is tight and even and the flamed maple, as noted, is quite nice in the back and sides. It has a ruddy-brown-orange finish which brings out the figure on the back and sides and the corners have all been "rubbed" to more of a natural color so the outline stands-out well. It has ebony fittings.

Repairs included: This just needed the tiniest bit of setup adjustments. It's ready to go and playing nicely.
