2020s Eastwood Teleolin Doubleneck Electric Guitar & Mandolin

Overview: Eastwood instruments are always interesting but always need a bunch of tweaking to make them into players. I think of them as almost assembled kit guitars when they leave the factory. That was definitely the case with this one, but now that it's tidied-up, it's a respectable, nice-playing doubleneck. Some thought was actually put into how this one sits with both necks and the mandolin neck is actually in just about the perfect position to be comfortable to switch-around on. Good job, guys!

Interesting features: Obviously, it's a doubleneck. That's cool in itself and the general look and style of it is reminiscent of those '50s and '60s country-fied doublenecks of yesteryear. It does have fully-adjustable saddles for both necks but I did have to twist-angle the Tele saddles during setup to get good compensation out of them. This has the normal Tele plate controls and then there's also a 3-way switch up on the horn for going between necks. The tone and volume controls are masters for both necks.

Repairs included: I gave both necks good setups and then had to dig-in a bit as the wiring runs were a little wonky. It wound-up getting a new 3-way switch on the Tele plate, a new jack, and several longer runs of wire got replaced to give them a little more slack and to correct some grounding issues. It's ready to go, now, and playing spot-on!

Condition notes: There is a chip-out in the finish next to the mandolin neck pocket (photographed). It's also got light wear and tear throughout (small finish swirls from contact with clothing, etc.) but is basically a very-lightly-used instrument. Aside from the finish chip-out, it could be something that's lived in a shop environment for a few months.

It comes with: It's got a gigbag.
