1920s Galiano (Harmony) Parlor Guitar
Overview: While labeled Galiano, this is a Harmony-made guitar from around 1925 or so. It's got a solid spruce top over solid birch back and sides and an attractive, laid-back look about it. I worked on this guitar some years ago and a friend of the shop bought it back then. He's since moved-on to many different guitars and sent this one back up for resale. It needed some minor adjustments but it was otherwise as it left -- playing nice and easy and with a mellow, warm sound that suits fingerpicking beautifully. It's very lightly-built and so needs lighter string gauges (46w-10 is what's on it at the moment). This means heavy-handed players or chord-thumpers may not enjoy what this instrument does.
Repairs included: Previously, it got a neck reset, fret level/dress, new saddle, and setup work done. Before that work, a different shop had fit a replacement ('50s Harmony) bridge to it. I can't recall whether I added the new nut or i the last shop had done that work. In any case, it's playing swell and is ready to go!

Condition notes: It's cleaner than usual for the time and all-original save nut, bridge, saddle, and pins. The bridge seems to have been fit in the '50s as it's of a type that was regularly available at the back of Harmony catalogs. There's some nice "bearclaw" figure on the top. There's definitely mild wear and tear throughout the finish (light scratches, scuffs, etc.) but overall it looks good.
It comes with: As I recall, this has a gigbag.
