1937 Epiphone Triumph Carved-Top Archtop Guitar
Overview: Proper, big-boy, Epiphone carved-tops from the '30s can be a bit hard to find these days. This one has a quick neck, a ton of volume and punch, and sounds a treat, too. It's the perfect swing-backup sort-of guitar but I could easily hear it hanging-in for fiddle backup and the like. It's pretty, it's jazzy, it's got power, and the neck feels great. What more?
Repairs included: In the past, it got some overspray of the entire instrument which has yielded a glossy finish sprayed over older wear and tear. At the same time, it got a refret, new tuners, a new tailpiece, and someone attempted a neck reset on it but didn't quite get the geometry correct (the fretboard extension was ski-jumping enough that it was fretting-out badly from frets 10-on). I re-reset the neck and then handed it over to Sarah who gave it a level/dress of the frets and setup work. It's playing spot-on and is ready to go.

Condition notes: The tuners, bridge, and tailpiece are all replacements. It looks like it may have some replacement binding here and there, too (the headstock, in particular, has slightly odd binding). There's plenty of old wear and tear that was sprayed-over during the overspray (note the big old line in front of the bridge, for example) and some newear scratches and scuffs simply from being played. The original pickguard is missing, too.
It comes with: It has a foam/flight-style "hard" case.
